Brand Newbie

My first attempt at (legit)  newborn photography was a massive fail.  It was a big bummer.  My second attempt - much better!  I still ended up deleting more than half of my images, but I think I walked away with some good shots.

Meet sweet little Wren Jocelyn.  She's six whole days old here, and just as precious as can be.  She slept almost the entire time.  And only peed and pooped on everything.  Now her mommy has more laundry to do!

Holla!

Hey, Cute Kid.

Thank the good Lord I have friends willing to indulge me.  I'm pretty desperate for photography experience, and anyone willing to give it to me I pounce on!  Such was the case for my buddies, Michele and Phil and their adorable little man, 18 month old Rock.  They're expecting another wee babe in October.  Maybe they'll let me take his/her pictures then!  (*wink wink*)

Here's a sample of my favs.

Thanks for the practice friends!!

You Will Have Trouble

Well, life is troublesome isn't it?  I've got trouble, trouble on my mind.  My sweet little girl is coming into her own - learning how to throw tantrums and slap people in the face.  My sinuses are still not better - it's  19 months (and counting) of infection and inflammation.  My poor husband's body is like an 80 year old man.  Disaster zone man.  Our house is begging us to complete projects like the backyard and the basement, only we don't have the money to do it.  There's heartache with some friends, weighing me down.

And boy, do I have trouble on my mind.

We aren't guaranteed an easy life.  And if we're honest, we don't really want one.  The times we learn and grow are the times we are challenged.  We just have to be willing to turn ourselves in the direction of growth, instead of stagnation.  When we fail to progress and develop ourselves, we cheat the opportunity to bring about new possibilities.  I find myself struggling with those facts.  All the overwhelming thoughts of trouble on my mind make me want to sit, and do nothing.

I need to remind myself...

In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart!  I have overcome the world.
- John 16:33

I'm called to lean on God in times of trouble (and in times of peace).

I always do...eventually.

Bunnies

First order of business, apparently I can put pictures on my blog again.  I didn't do anything to change it.  Maybe it's waiting for me to have a bad day, then it won't accept my pictures again.  Who knows?!

Secondly.  Let's look at my pictures!

Andrey has had a lovely obsession with two special bunnies lately.  The brown bunny was mine when I was a baby.  His name is Firsty.  I love Firsty.  He came to college with me and protected me from bad guys in the night.  He thwarts Bella's humping attacks, and has only had to have his ears sewn back on 12 times.  And the white one is unnamed.  It's not my place to name her bunny!

Anyway, she's been carrying them both around.  Rearranging them all over the house.  And she always keeps them together.  It's pinch your cheeks, licked by a puppy adorable.

I love this last one.  She holds a lot of different things behind her back.  It's how she rolls.

And a few more pictures for good measure.  My little girl has a lot of skirts.  It's a problem I have.  I see a skirt, I buy it!

Yum.  That face!  She's total eye candy.

Limits

I've reached my limit on pictures for my blog.  I didn't know I had a limit!  I don't know if this is how's it's all supposed to end.  It's abrupt, but only about 5 people read this anyway.

I'm not officially saying it's over...but it just might be.  What's a blog without pictures?

Oh and by the way, this is my 100th post!

Sad.

Pro-Fess-Ion-Al

We had our first professional family pictures taken in March.  I know, we're a little behind here.  We used Heather, and she was incredible.  I will cherish these photos for years to come.

Here's a sample of my favorites.
